Meet the chef and owner…
Alberto is an Italian Pizzaiolo with a huge passion for cooking and experimenting to create new and improved dishes. Alberto strongly believes in only using natural ingredients. He makes his own pizza dough, spending over a year perfecting his recipe to become the perfection it is today, using Italian flours, salt, extra virgin olive oil and yeast. He leaves it to rise for a specific length of time just like his mama taught him! There are no extra ingredients such as sugar, milk or improvers and additives that are used by well-known chains.
All desserts are fresh and homemade including a selection of Italian classics and popular English favourites. We pride ourselves on being the only restaurant in Leek that makes their own Gelato (Italian ice cream). Alberto and Lisa trained with Carpigiani, the manufacturers of the most elite ice cream making equipment from Italy, to learn how to make the deliciously light and creamy gelato we serve to our customers.
